Dallas gave DE Greg Hardy a one-year, $11.3 million deal that could be worth up to $13.116 million.

Cowboys signed DE Greg Hardy, formerly of the Panthers, to a one-year, $11.3 million contract.

The Cowboys finished 28th in the league with their 28 sacks last season, and Hardy recorded 27 sacks from 2012-2013 before sitting out all but one game last season while on the Commissioner's Exempt List. He'll be a "closer" for the Cowboys, who got pressure on quarterbacks last season but couldn't finish the job. Expect Hardy to slide in at right end, with Demarcus Lawrence, Jeremy Mincey, and Tyrone Crawford rotating at the other spot. Hardy is a three-down player, though he may be looking at a short suspension to start the season.

The Cowboys need a big time pass rusher in the worst way. Would be huuuuge for this team if Hardy stays out of trouble.

Looks like this is a done deal

FWIW: Free-agent DE Greg Hardy is scheduled to take a physical with the Cowboys in the morning.

Would be a big addition for dallas. With him and Lawrence it means they don't have to draft a lineman early. Can get a corner safety or rb.

So does this mean that Peterson will likely be a Cardinal. Signing Hardy is going to make it almost impossible for Dallas to sign AP too.

That was never going to happen.

I honestly thought Jerry would have bent over backwards to get him in Dallas...especially when they let Murray walk.

Either way, signing Hardy will be huge for the Cowboys.

Problem is Hardy is probably going to be suspended for the first 4-6 games next season.

I don't see why this is such a huge deal for teams. He's a plug and play pass rusher. Let him take a month off. Worked out for Browner last year

Drew Rosenhaus said Greg Hardy, who is undergoing a physical this am in Dallas, is expected to chose today between Cowboys and Bucs.

It'll be interesting to see how they handle it. We can all put 2 and 2 together and realize he did something, but in terms of actual proof, the NFL is SOL since she was likely paid off or just didn't want to deal with it anymore and the case gets dismissed.

With Rice and Peterson, there was actual proof of each incident. I'm not trying to back Hardy because I'm a Cowboys fan, but I'm looking at it from their standpoint
