Partially, yes.
I don't claim to know Gordon as a friend, but though my employment I've met him numerous times. Been with him in meetings and at public events many times over a period of years. And he couldn't be a nicer and more down to earth person considering his wealth and fame.
And those I know who have dealt with him since he started in NASCAR say he's been that way his entire career.
And those that know him say there is no truth to the "gay" rumors. He had marriage problems with his first wife, but it was with women not men.
The gay crap was started by jealous #3 fans who were too stupid and too biggoted to understand that #3 actually liked Gordon. They competed on the track but #3 respected his talent and knew how important Gordon would be to growing the popularity of the sport beyond the redneck crowd. And Gordon did just that.
That's all I have to say about this subject. I'm trying to drink and it's hard for me to type so many words in one message. I'm going back to messages like: frick Elliot Sadler!

I have NO prob with this. #24 Is a GREAT DRIVER. Like him or not. BUT HE IS NOT [or will EVER be] as good as #3. FACT. I don't care what you say.

When I said "ghey" I did not mean it in the homosexual way. I meant it as dumb or stupid.
My comment was saying that it was lame to cheer for Gordon.

I didn't say any such thing. And I didn't mean to run down #3 at all, just offering a comment about what I was told was the source of the Gordon is gay rumors. #3 was awesome.
