I'm willing to bet Gordon and Johnson don't get along that good.

For some reason, I doubt that. Gordo brought Jimmie into the fold, and the two shared a race shop for years.

Then, Junebug comes along and takes Gordo's ride and shop. I don't think Jeff hates JR, but if there was anyone he should, it would be the unaccomplished guy that took over his shop because fans love him because of his Daddy's name.

I know that, but their relationship has become icy especially w/ Johnson's dominance and Knaus' assholery. Gordon has griped about Johnson's driving alot the last couple of years.

Knaus is the biggest prick in Nascar and Gordon even admitted he couldn't drive for him.

Knaus in an unabashed a-hole, but he gets results.

Knaus is as bad as Saban when it comes to details. That's what makes them great and they do not hide behind it.

I don't know why Earnhardt fans show such resentment toward Gordon

Because when Gordon was at his peak Earnhardt was in a slump. For awhile Gordon was winning race after race and Sr. couldn't stop him.

Terminal NASCAR fan leaves hospice to go to Daytona.

He didn't make the 500 but he did make it to the track.

So last week, Mitch Zannette checked himself out of hospice and headed to Florida to see the Daytona 500. He made it to the track. Went to the beach. Met Miss Sprint Cup. Drank some beers. And on Thursday, three days before the race, he died in the infield at Daytona International Speedway. He was 50.

Thread went completely off the board until you posted.

Even Bama thought you axed it.

I don't think anyone axed it on purpose. I came to the thread and posted.

Don't know what happened either, but I kept looking for the thread and it wasn't here until you posted about the 50-yr old Hospice guy.

Anyway back on track. To Bama, Kenseth and Busch, now teammates, had engine issues within a lap or two of each other. They weren't pushing harder than anybody else, the engines just broke. Bad engineering/parts?

Gordon doesn't bitch about Jr every chance he gets. It must bother the Earnhardt fans that Sr and Gordon got along pretty good off the track. Hell Sr mentored Gordon.

I'm willing to bet Gordon and Johnson don't get along that good.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, Johnson, Gordon and Earnhardt all race for the same team, Hendrick Motorsports. I guess Patrick had good reason not to expect help from Earnhardt on the last lap if she tried to pass on the inside, as long as Johnson was leading the race.

If it wasn't for kenseth or Busch problems I believe a Toyota mainly the Gibbs cars would've won
