I don't either, as a whole. But individually, it's not like that. Now, it is a "guilty until proven innocent" attitude for me French individuals, so I also don't like them at first/assume they're douches, but if they show they're not (like Havret did) then I like them.

I still think Mickelson is going to work back towards the top tomorrow. He'll probably have two good rounds on Friday and Saturday and be about 4 strokes back come the 1st tee on Sunday. Of course, he never seems to make that final round push up the leaderboard.

I wrote this on Thursday, I hope Phil proves me wrong.

Nope. Phil does it again. Just close enough to get you excited, then he pulls a Charlie Brown on Lucy to all of us rooting for him.

If Tiger and Phil had an 18 hole play-off tomorrow, would it be the most watched golf match in history?

After Johnson shite himself on 2 & 3, I was rooting for a Woods, Els, Mickelson, Love III playoff. That would have been epic.

I was pulling for tiger and after saturday it was looking good but sunday he sucked. I don't know whether to think that he is getting better or worse. Never seen him play like that on a sunday.

One thing that LSUGolfer was absolutely right about, was that it's really hard to follow up a great round at the Open with another one. The 2 66s from Saturday shot 82 and 74 on Sunday.

Havret should have got more pub from NBC. French or not, he was a great story. If he was American he would been pumped a lot more. Instead we got old Tiger highlights between every shot. It sickens me.

Dan Hicks was basically on his knees for Tiger the whole time. When he shot the 66 you could see the drool on Hicks' chin.

Its better for the game of golf if they highlight the other players more and let us get to know them. When you make it a tiger special all you are doing is putting on one big Nike commercial for the uninformed golf "fans".

I was inspired by Havret's and McDowell's performances.

That's the media for you. After Tiger shot the 66, you would have thought he was winning by 5 strokes the way they were all over him

Havret was classy afterwards. Good interview and you could tell how pumped he was about just being there. I have noticed McDowell alot over the years on the PGA tour. He just hung in there when all the big guys faltered. How many of you golfers have had a day like Johnson? Thats golf.

I love the guys who show respect for the game, the crowd, and their competitors. That is what golf is all about for me.

McDowell and Havret could not have come off classier. I salute both and wish them the best in their careers.

When are the networks gonna stop sucking Tiger and Phil's di#k. I understand they are the top players in golf, but there are around 70 other golfers in the field that deserve to either be seen or mentioned at one time or another during the final two days. Just show a shot or two, just to recognize that they made the cut, that's all. On a side note, I thought the open sucked. I don't wanna see bogeys all day long, I wanna see birdies, eagles. This is the same thing they addressed at Augusta when they Tigersized it. These are professional golfers, they are supposed to shoot under par, leave the hacking to me and Drew Brees.

I disagree. Tiger and Phil are 2 of probably the 5 most talented golfers in history. If they are in it, there is no reason to not show every single one of their shots. But I agree that I would have liked to learn a little more about the French dude. Especially since he outplayed Tiger in the same group Sunday.

I have no problem with them showing every one of Tiger and Phil's shots. as long as they are close, they should absolutely show every shot. My problem is the cutaway's to Tiger's greatest highlights about 7 times during the broadcast. Highlights from old tournaments.

I hate it when any sport elevates an individual to a higher standing than the game itself.

It takes maybe 10 seconds to show a shot other than maybe a putt. Thats 10 shots a minute, 600 shots an hour. Minus commercials, you probably looking around 300 possible, minus bullshite commentary and other crap. I think everybody should get a shot or 2. And then show the top ten obviously more during the telecast IMO.

For about the last four or five holes they really didn't show any of tigers tee shots which were down the fairway for the most part and just showed Havrets. They even cut out some of tigers second shots and showed Havrets. Havret definitely deserved the spotlight in that group as he played the best and was in contention.
