2022 must have been horrible for him. So much PTSD.

There was probably a better use of my time than trudging up and down the long stairs of the converted schoolhouse I lived in for yet another cigarette in the Boston cold, but I needed to escape somewhere. It was February 2019, and I had just been fired. My reporting future was uncertain, my bank account was dwindling, and I was gaining weight rapidly. Every day, I was left to wonder whether I’d passed on the biggest story of my life.

LMAO. What a fricking loser

During my time covering the Astros, from late 2013 into 2016, they were a controversial franchise. I reported on questions about their management culture and decision-making with the support of my newspaper, the Houston Chronicle, which was the only outlet in the city that covered the team on the road and was not also owned by the team.

The Astros had tried to bully me into submission. In 2015, the owner of the team and the head spokesperson attempted to remove me from the beat in a meeting with a pair of Chronicle editors simply because they didn’t like my coverage. Thankfully, my editors stood by me.

Well there it is.

Pretty obvious to anyone who read Drellich’s stuff that he had an axe to grind. Trash writer working for a publication now owned by a New York publishing entity. No surprise.

Pepperidge Farm remembers when a few in the DAT felt he was a good reporter that would not bow down to Crane. The first couple of years of Crane's ownership were viewed with harshness here... he caved to the AL, he was cheap, and would never produce a winner. And Drellich was heralded by some here as "telling it like it is".

My, how the turn tables.

So you're saying you didn't order one of these for the low, low price of $39.95? I wonder if the back cover is him grounding out weakly to end the ALCS...

Game times for 2023 were released. By my count there's only 6 weeknight west coast 8:40-9:10 games.

One Ogre, Many 'Special Event' Baseballs & The Race for A Half-Of-Baseball Record

It was a more made-up story than Russian Collusion and the Loch Ness Monster.

It's less than 3 hours from my house to Truist. I don't think I will make the whole weekend series but seriously considering going to a game or two.

Not a lot of options out there for him. I wish Brown's answer included "however, we are pursuing him with emphasis on being our minor league hitting coordinator with a goal of making him an MLB hitting coach."

At this point, I can see him end up being the Pirates starting 2B.
