- Wouldn't be 2026 Astros baseball without those two absolute stinkers to end what had started as a promising homestand.

- Astros claimed Jorge Barrosa to the big club. Switch hitting outfielder, tiny guy. Very much a glove and feet first, will be nice to get a little more athleticism on the big club for pinch running late. Burrows was moved to the 60 day and Jake sent down to make room.

- Clock has to be ticking on Trammell, he's been dreadful and Loperfido has been pretty good in AAA. It's a turd for a turd but have to try something.

- Gotta get this one, Sanchez and Wheeler on deck for the Phils

- I love the 5:40 local starts

- Guessing we are still on Correa watch, think he is in WPB for a few days and then they want to get him to Sugar Land.

- Rangers @ Mariners. Thankfully the Mariners have been so bad and currently 6 back that don't really have to worry about who to root for.

Despite a 5.55 ERA, this Painter fellow’s last two outings are 7.0IP, 2H and 6.0IP, 2H.

This is the exact sort of series the Astros will somehow win despite all indications otherwise.

Good summation overall. But don't we have enough of these guys already? I'm tired of glove/feet first guys who can't hit water falling out of a boat. We traded for one at the deadline and have picked up seemingly 8 or 9 more off the scrap heap just this year.

Career he’s dog shite both sides, but this season he has a .786 OPS against LHP.

Velazquez has a .709 this year with ~ 20 more at bats.

This opens up DFA’ing Velazquez for good by getting maybe similar production and a MUCH better defender, sending Trammell down and maybe Joey getting some run.

Again there is no reason for me to even think about this stuff this much because it’s all one big pile of shite

Trammell might be the strongest guy on the team and one of the fastest, but he just doesn't hit. Good fielder.

Altuve seems to be coming around. Has been fielding and hitting better lately.

Cam is nonexistent at the plate again.

Varsho had to make certain he got 3rd on a sliding catch w nobody out. Tagging all the way

Unfortunate, but the way this team bats with less than 2 outs, he had to be certain he advanced that base

He’s not been himself now for a while. Granted, even average Yordan is better than most players, but he’s hit a big time lull. His OBP over the last month has still been good because he comes up in so many situations where they walk him, but his overall hitting has been major meh.
