Well mates, we have made it. After a grueling 60 game season, the good ole boys have cruised into the playoffs with the distinction of being the only sub-.500 team ever to make it to the post-season (well besides the Brewers this year of course)
These last few years, the first day of post-season has felt like Christmas morning...with a certain child-like eagerness to wake up and see what gifts are in store for us.
This year, it feels more like Columbus Day...and that feeling you get when you wake up and realize that you don't work at a bank and you don't get the day off.
But alas, here we are.
This team is clicking on exactly zero cylinders going into the post-season Players have been up on blocks at Cooter's garage all year long, and when they have played, they have been highly ineffective.
The resistible force meets the movable object today. The worst team ever to make the playoffs meets a Twins team that has lost 16 straight playoff games going back to 2004.
So someone has to win.....right?
There is absolutely NO reason for the Astros to win this. The bats are cold. Greinke isn't pitching well. The bullpen is inconsistent. The starting pitching past Greinke isn't post-season tested. The team looks like it is ready for the off-season. The Twins are actually pretty good. If ever it "were not winnable", this is the time.
My pick: Astros in 3. Let's ride!

(Also LSUGrad, it’s Kenta Maeda starting for Minny )

Astros 2020 World Series Champions would be the icing on the cake for this year

That is why I want this so badly. It would be the most 2020 thing ever.

Serious post: if we can get 6 or 7 strong from Greinke today and then potentially tandem in some combo Framber LMJ Urquidy and Javier in Games 2 and 3 I think they can win this series (even if they lose today and the offense continues to underwhelm).
I also don’t trust Dusty to manage it like the above which is another issue

Only grueling for us fans.
I will say you're the right man for the job at starting this DAT so I'm feeling a little more confident now.

Well, us and the Brewers. That's what happens when 16/30 teams make it.
Astros in 3 sounds about right.
