Because I’m not right, keeping an eye on MLB Big Inning on MLB.TV. A very poor man’s version of NFL Red Zone. Rangers doing work in Cleveland. Red Sox trying to start a rally in the eighth and have tying run at third with none out in the eighth. I’ll need a month’s worth of showers after rooting for the Rangers and Red Sox this weekend.

Also have FSU down at Virginia late 3rd. Compelling sports night.

ETA: Red Sox have tied the Tigers in the 8th.

The unfortunate news is that this poor a-hole squad needs to sweep. The elders have spoken. The season is over. We are just playing out the string to hear tell it.

I was doing the same.

Here’s the thing, and judging by your handle, you’re one of the olds on here like me so you’ll understand.

I know that the smart thing is to hope we don’t make it and that wholesale changes are made. But I think being a kid in the 70s and hardly getting to watch the team in general, much less in the playoffs has me wanting this to go on as long as possible, regardless of the fact we have little to no chance of making any noise.

Based on first two at bats, the boys will not be bopping tonight.

Carlito had a nice crack on that single.

To be honest, glad Cocksuck didnt do damage after being gifted a ball on strike three.

This, 100 percent.

And, yes, we're probably about the same age. I remember when making the playoffs almost never happened. Even though they let more teams in now and this team has almost no shot, I'd rather a slim shot than no shot.

And when it did, we got 80 and 86 to break our hearts. I was starting my sr year at LSU in 86 and remember walking around outside like a zombie after the torture of game 6.

6 K/9?

Challenge accepted. The Astros setting the pace at 18 K/9 with this dominant 86 mph fastball.
