That bullpen meltdown in Anaheim broke this team. Click punted on the trade deadline and then the bullpen blew every game in that series regardless of how much the offense scored. They quit on the season at that point.

Get better Deep. This team won’t require any bulls this week but we need you back on the board if for nothing but to shoot the bull.

Can’t disagree at all. I really must admit I never took this team as having no heart. But it’s right in front of us.

Prophetic words from 5.

It really is crazy watching night in and night out. In the past it seemed like they were always having fun and bringing energy.
Just went through the position players last 15 game stats, and outside of Uncle Mike and George the numbers are comically bad. Bregman, Tuve, Correa, Reddick all with like a sub .500 ops during that stretch. It’s absolutely insane, did they just completely forget how to hit? Probably not, that’s why I harp on effort so often. They’ve hit anywhere and under any conditions for the last three-four years especially on the road away from the sign stealing bullshite.
ETA: some positive in Lance from tonight. Glad he was able to experience some success on the road absolute shame Altuve screwed him over in the 7th. 0 ER’s but he deserved to have a W next to his name tonight

Btw the A's won the West with our loss. We had a good run.

It was indeed a good run.
Maybe they can start another one in 10-15 years

This is players vs owners
Nothing else.
There is no room for fans in this.
They will reluctantly show up for playoffs, and when that is over, the winner will be the loser, for having won nothing but less leisure time before the real game begins
The negotiations
“Injuries” at five times the normal rate, unless you’re talking about players with no guaranteed roster spot
They don’t get “injured”

They won't do a total teardown but I'm willing to bet Correa is traded in the offseason. They need a young top of the rotation starter out of such a deal.
ETA: Sad part is, Correa alone won't get you that. But that's where we are. They could try to extend him ona fair contract but he's arrogant enough to bet on himself. He'll lose that bet.

They just seem so disinterested. Bregman’s demeanor after scoring the go ahead run yesterday was pathetic. Springer is the only one that seems to be having a good time playing.
I always knew they were meatheads at the plate...I.e talented but not intelligent hitters, so losing the close ones with the bullpen turnover doesn’t shock me. But we don’t even bludgeon teams anymore. When we do get off to a good start, we fall asleep for the rest of the game.
As someone mentioned a while back, there is no way possible they could have had more motivation for this season, but they’ve just flat out quit.

Correa’s value has taken a personal hit, which only adds to the overall hit the players will take after their league wide “performance” .
I don’t feel like Click will get enough in return to make it feasible.
They will get whatever Correa gives them for one last season. Too many immediate concerns.
If next season is “normal”, Correa’s value to a contender at the deadline won’t be drastically less than an average team this offseason, IMO

I mean, playing the QO game for draft picks is the worst case scenario. You do with the Springer and Correa. The market might even shite on them and force them to re-sign.
I think double secret collusion is coming this offseason. Owners didn't really want a season, and it's cost them money. They will pinch pennies, and free agents will pay for it. George might end up taking the QO.

Done with this lowlife trash POS team.

Agreed
And have no sympathy for the “players” anymore
There will be nothing covert about the upcoming collusion
The bad blood has been on full display, and not reserved to just MLB
MiLB too
