If the Astros didn’t lead the majors in GIDP by a wide margin, they’d easily have the BRIB.

The Double plays are a direct result of putting a lot of balls in play & not striking out, a bit of a necessary evil.

Altuve could probably figure out a way to run himself into a solo double play.

Paxton finally pitching like an ace for the Yankees

Since August 19 he had allowed 14 runs over 65 innings (1.94 ERA) with 61 strikeouts

I would hope my ace goes more than 5 innings

Less than a K per 9, that’s Keuchel type numbers

ETA: running a .192 BABIP in the same time period, smoke and mirrors

Also, I think your dates/innings are off. He’s only thrown 30 IP since 8/17 start

Yup, I went back to July

Part of the inning is the Yankees and Boone, they've been pulling starters around 80-90 pitchers rather than letting them roll to 100. Today Paxton was at 101 but in 2 of those games he didn't go 6 innings he had less than 90 pitches as well.

We are at 9 starts so he is averaging more than 5 during that time with 65 innings

He’s at 3.90 back to 7/15, 62.1, 11.5 K/9, 3.3 BB/9

I always use baseball reference, it is just easier and better for history

But I double-checked my numbers and they seem correct.dude has been on a roll since August 2nd. He would be our game 1 starter with Tanaka as game 2 and then a Severino/Green game

That may be true, but he doesn’t have a below 2 ERA in the last 2 months or month and half, or a month

Toro is absolute garbage from the right side of the plate. Useless.

Tucker just needs to see some ML ABs. I think he’s going to be a productive player for us. Streaky, but productive
