Entirely expected once it went to extra innings. We don't win extra innings games and that's by strategic coaching design. Winning run standing out there on 2nd base with nobody out? Here's our switch hitting backup catcher batting from his weaker side against a guy we've never scored on in 10 innings. Should I bunt him or have him swing away? 4 pitches later he's down on strikes and the runner remains at 2nd. Too proud to ever bunt a runner over.
