If Houston was 3 games back of the wildcard with a month to go and the roles were reversed there is zero fricking chance the Astros give up a home series at the end of the year and turn a 9-game road trip into 12.

And don't give me any 'playoffs? Lol what are you smoking?!?!"

Remember two years ago when texas was 9 games back in August and won the division? So not sure where that argument is coming from.

If Texas was out of the race then I'm sure the series are swapped.

Houston just earned a 19 game road trip, flying to at least 4 cities (if they end up playing the NYM in TB also) with no chance of even going to their own homes

God forbid the Rangers get a 12 gamer to end the year

The 2008 Astros were 3 GB of the wildcard when Ike hit and we had to play a "home" series against the Cubs in fricking Milwaukee. Don't give us this shite.

The Rangers didn't have to do anything, you're right, but it doesn't look good and I hope we bury your playoff chances this week.

Yes I know. I don't get why you or anyone else was expecting something to be different this time around. It's clear the precedent for these situations has already been set.

Well it was different, Selig's precedent would have been us playing two series in Arlington. At least we get the neutral site. I think the argument for us playing this week in Arlington is hilarious though, frick y'all

How fitting is it that the Florida Gators are going to be in Arlington this weekend?

No reasonable GM would make that trade.

That is a phrase we haven't heard in this thread in any context....

Yeah, frick a team who looks out for its best interest!

I'm sure it's also completely Texas' fault that Houston just happens to be right in the path of a god damn natural disaster too.

We offered to have the games in Arlington, to allow Houston fans to attend and enjoy games and maybe take their mind off of this hurricane shite for a few hours.

At least be honest about why you want it there and don't try to patronize us with that bullshite.

Man, I don't care where the game is, at all. I'm not even going to be in town to even go if it was switched.

I certainly wouldn't it to happen and then that possibly be the reason Texas somehow makes the postseason.

In the end, I just think it's a lot of people with a lot of other actual important crap on their minds that are talking out loud. There is no hate here in dallas for anyone in Houston. ESPECIALLY in this moment in time.

I just think it's unfair for Texas' name to be drug through the mud for something that in the big picture matters little to none when it comes to why it's even occurring in the first place.

You guys can believe what you want, but Delino tweeted out earlier this morning exactly what everyone in Dallas is thinking. No matter what happens in this baseball series, in this season, we are neighbors. We didn't switch some ultimately meaningless baseball games. I'm sorry. But Texas is raising money on top of the $1 million they are already donating. The rivalry doesn't matter in this period of time and I truly believe you'll see the compassion from our players when we play this week.

The same ones saying frick the Rangers over this will be in the SEC rant threads calling Florida fans retards over what happened last year. It's a no win situation and there's no use arguing with people determined to be pissed off. If hating the Rangers is the distraction Houston needs right now then so be it. T&P to you DAT baws who are dealing with this mess

Like LSU, the Astros have zero reason to accommodate rangers like LSU had zero reason to after the cancellation. Unlike LSU, the rangers weren't offering to swap home games

I don't see what the fuss is about. I think the Astros should have taken the Rangers offer and so everyone could stay closer to their family and friends.

The Rangers offered to play this week's series in Arlington while providing all revenue -- minus expenses -- to the Astros.

I mean crap, this isn't about money. Sure the Rangers shouuld have just switched series, but I get their point of view as well. So... now we play on a neutral field and everyone loses. Both sides are being stubborn and looking out for their best interest.

They're all idiots.

All we be forgiven if Odor wears one on his first AB tomorrow night.

Y'all, we should try and start a fight. How bad would the Rangers look if they got into a brawl with the team from Houston. We can hit like four of their guys tomorrow cause they can't do shite in retaliation without looking like bigger A-Holes

This is fricking incredibly ignorant and stupid.

It must be. I don't sense any sarcasm in that post. Or, you were just being an overemotional whiny bitch about it. Who knows.
