We offered to have the games in Arlington, to allow Houston fans to attend and enjoy games and maybe take their mind off of this hurricane shite for a few hours.
You do realize the majority of Houston is under water, correct?
Getting to Arlington is next to impossible
So this excuse is bullshite

Full of pussies who circle jerk to the popular opinion in order to feel included. If the Rangers want to do what they feel is in their best interest, they can. But pretending like they really went out of their way to help Houston is, as Dave Raymond would say, "laughable."

23 friends of mine from college That live in Houston evacuated and are in Dallas. EIGHT of which are staying at my house that has three fricking bedrooms.
So no, it Isn't impossible dumbass.
Like I said earlier, I had some friends who were begging for the series to be played here for that entire reason.
So sorry, but you are wrong.

Rangers FO staying classy. Hope that money is well spent.

So you can't read. I said, "next to impossible"
The series just got moved officially today, and it is getting harder and harder to get out of the city.
But, your right the Rangers were in the right to ask for 3 home games and not give any back. For the "playoffs and the fans"
You can see yourself right out of the fricking thread

Also, love that this means it's super easier to get to DFW:

Am I the only one who can see why Texas wouldn't agree to switch. I plan two or three trips to Houston a season to watch the Astros. I plan the trips months in advance. Now I of course would understand if the Astros would have done the switch in the opposite situation, but I can see why.
There's very few people that do this as the majority of fans attending the game will be locals in DFW. The Rangers play 81 games a season there...

Never did I say that. But you are a retard if you don't think plenty of people evacuated to Dallas from houston or people here have friends/family who are in Houston
Baltimore didn't get a series swapped when they had to play at home in TB due to the riots. The precedent was set before this.
Hope all goes well with y'all. I am proud of the Rangers for donating multiple games of our 50/50 raffle revenue which I expect to be the three highest of the season, amongst all of the other donations that the Dallas area is sending that way.

It's very generous of you to house your friends, I mean that sincerely. But saying you're proud of the Rangers for throwing money at a situation instead of working toward a reasonable solution is pathetic

Rangers look like shite right now. Congrats, by this time tomorrow the Rangers will unnanimously be the most disliked team in baseball. Taking advantage of the worst natural disaster in this country in ten years to score some extra home games is a pretty big no-no
Agreed. We appreciate the donations and other generosity they have shown us, but thinking they can gain extra home games by getting it from us is very very very classless.

For people that are truly decent human beings, the act of charity does not include a provision for personal gains. You don't offer to be charitable and also engineer a way to benefit.
It is disingenuous and not charity at all.

D-Backs are donating their 50/50 money as well

The @Dbacks say that the proceeds from their 50/50 raffle in their series against the @Dodgers this week will be donated to Houston relief.

Reid Ryan looks like an asshat. Good strategic move by him to put the Rangers in a lose-lose situation.

Lance McCullers tweet will blow the lid off this story. No way to contain it at this point.
I can't settle this though:
All we be forgiven if Odor wears one on his first AB tomorrow night.
Y'all, we should try and start a fight. How bad would the Rangers look if they got into a brawl with the team from Houston. We can hit like four of their guys tomorrow cause they can't do shite in retaliation without looking like bigger A-Holes

The rangers really think they're special for donating 50/50
Posted on 8/28/17 at 9:05 pm to FiddleHead
You realize we donated $1 million on top of that, right?
And Dallas is probably sending more supplies than any other city in the country, including setting up a evacuation station for those who need a place to stay.
Some of you will never be satisfied.

Plenty of people are donating money but very few organizations have the opportunity to personally help these guys out. The rangers got that opportunity and swiftly punted it in the stands.
