Name one player who’s livelihood was taken as a result of someone on the Astros being hit because the cheating scandal?

I can play that game. Don’t generalize. Give me one. You can’t. Don’t cheat and you won’t get buzzed with a 90 mph fastball. And it was at his rib cage not his head. He ducked and that’s why it looked like it was higher than it was.

okay dude nice deflection

I never claimed a livelihood was taken away, I simply said it could.

You flat out said someone's was taken away due to the sign stealing

You actually have a couple Mike Boslinger comes to mind right away

Kris Medlen as well, came back after injuries pitched 1 game against the Astros and gave up 7 runs. He retired after that

I’ve got no dog in the hunt. I don’t give a frick. The bottom line is if you cheat AND get caught, you will get this sort of reaction. They won the fricking World Series during the scandal. I’m not saying that’s why they won but it surely helped out. If you say otherwise, you’re being completely disingenuous. I’d be pissed too if that was my childhood dream or if I lost out on a bonus because some people cheated.

While it's unlikely to happen, the season is five games old. You should have a much easier time naming the player you allege lost his livelihood, given it's already happened. Supposedly.

Mike Bolsinger had a career 5.00 ERA and has a 4+ ERA in Japan. He's just not a MLB caliber pitcher

Why are you rolling Cubs fans into that fricking group?

You missed the entire point of my post. They aren’t cubs fans. They merely wear cubs hats... sometimes. And sometimes they wear yankees hats. They care, not about the teams, but the “cool factor” of their clothing accessories.

What about that fringe MLB pitcher who gets shelled by the Astros and gets sent down to the minors? Does his livelihood not matter?

Maybe we are reading this differently. That was a hypothetical. Just like your hypothetical.

You are awfully upset for someone not having a dog in the hunt.

Dodgers have every right to feel the way that they feel, and the Astros have every right to feel that they earned that championship.

I don't think you were meaning that as a hypothetical when you were typing it out

lmfao Kris Medlen pitched the game in Arizona and that was in 2018.

I'm not making excuses, I'm fricking giving you examples of why they didn't stick in the big leagues which is my point in the first place

I’m not upset. I’m an old school baseball fan. I like the gamesmanship of stealing signs if the catcher is being lazy. I don’t necessarily like the electronic assistance but it’s the 21st century so it’s expected. I also don’t mind the retribution for doing it. A little dust up is a part of the game. Both balls were thrown behind the Astros. The fans need to man up cause it’s going to happen all year.

He fits the example perfectly, a fringe MLB guy who the Astros fricked... Then you deflected, it's ok.

2018 for Arizona, his 1 start that year was against the Astros where they tagged him for 7 runs in like 2 innings.

I can agree with all of that, and understand and expect the Astros to get chirped at and thrown at. Again, the difference is 99 mph above the neck for me.

And also we are fans, we are irrational by nature so of course we are going to defend our team even if we know they are in the wrong. That's just the nature of being a fan

The game was in Arizona dude.

Bolsinger had given up 25 runs in his previous ten outings that year, but yes the 4 earned against the Astros is what did him in This isn't deflection, this is pointing out reasons why guys wouldn't stick at the big leagues. It's because they likely aren't good enough to be there anyway.

Both fastballs were less than 90. They were at the ribs and the pussies ducked which made it look higher than they were. The other was an inside breaking ball. A career ender I tell ya.

The one behind Bregman's head 99. That's the one I have issue with.

I know that Correa's were both breaking balls, and Correa probably shouldn't have mugged him but I'm sure he was just amped up too because of the chirping.
