As soon as Breg was drafted Lsu writers started tweeting that he can get 7.4 mill for being drafted there. They don't understand the whole underslot thing I think.

Yea it won't be 7.4. We wouldn't be able to afford everybody if bregs gets that and daz gets close to 5. Didn't Ted Tucker get somewhere around 5?

So no way it's 7.4 if Ted got 4 and Daz wants 4+. That could mean over 15 out of 17 mil is gone with three players. Not feasible.

Hopefully mark keeps up with what he has been doing these last starts in AA at Fresno. He can't go backwards again.

Exactly. I suspect it'll be about $6MM or just above. I could even see it being $5.9MM.

Yeah 6 is what I speculated following the draft. It is under slot but still over the slot where he would have been picked had the Astros not taken him, and gives the team the flexibility needed to get Daz. Win for everyone involved.
