McCormick mash followed by a Tuve Tank

Ngl feels kinda bad for A’s players. They are paid well to play ball and that’s fun but getting your teeth kicked in every time you go into work has to be horrific mentally

Altuve missed a month and a half and still beat Abreu to the home run column.

He’s a few doubles away from passing him up in extra base hits

They're going to just give up right? You can't do six months of this. Not only are they historically bad, their stadium is a shithole and the get like 3,000 fans per game.

I think that’s already happened sadly

They have a lot of young players, some with some potential. It’s a rough environment to try to develop those guys. Pretty toxic

They have to at some point. Noda hit that homer in the first and half the dugout wasn’t even clapping. My wife was even like do the A’s even care?

Plus they're probably going to trade anything they can get 99 cents for. Rooker is controlled for 5 more seasons but he'll be 29 at seasons end. They don't have much use for him. Diaz, Aguillar, Kemp.

They're likely aiming to be as bad as they can to accumulate high level talent ahead of the Vegas move.

We've shite on the guy but was genuinely happy for him in that moment. Loved seeing the team celebrate him like that. Hopefully that lifts a weight off him.

Clearly the team loves him. I’ve shite on him a lot and don’t feel bad about it at all but I do hope he turns it around and contributes since he’s not going anywhere. That had to feel good

He's a veteran, he knows exactly how bad he has sucked and he knows that he has earned all the shite.

Yea I’ve wanted to bring it up for a while he’s never really dogged anything while going through this slump. Seems like he busts it down the line every ground out and every day one of the media folk are posting about his early work so I’ve been really wanting him to have success. With that sad he’s definitely deserved to be shite on because he hasn’t lived up to his part of an absolute bargain for him (20 mil a year at 36 years old). Really hope this loosens him up and he starts spraying liners. He’s an easy player to root if he’s going good

Never should. I’m not the “athletes shouldn’t be paid so much” type, but they do make an unfathomable amount of money to play a kids game. I’d gladly swap jobs and get boo’d for the next 3 years for $60m.
