Brown's contract is up at the end of the season. It would be stunning if he's back. Seems like Crane punted on this year knowing the lockout is coming up with a GM and manager on the last year of their deals.

There is no reason not to fire him now if we know he won’t be renewed. It’s beyond stupid to let a lame duck GM draft and trade what should be an active deadline selling
