White telling singleton to go get his shinebox. This kid needs to be either the DH or the 1b.

I hope we don't see them give singleton a chance. He is who he is and they maDE a calculated risk giving him 10 million. They need to eat the remaining six and play the best player.

You left off Neshek. And we might carry 13 pitchers, not sure.

Yeah. Plug him in to the ?? That would make 12. It would be foolish to leave off white. I think tucker may be in trouble as well but he is LH.

I wish we could trade gattis.

We'll have to see how the rest of spring plays out but yeah I think the last spot will be between Tucker/White/13th pitcher if singleton continues to suck

I hate carrying 13 pitchers. Our staff is pretty legit especially with fister as a swing man.

Gattis may end up starting on the DL.

White is batting a lowly .353 while Swingleton is hitting .125.

Watch Singleton get the job just so we can have another season of Carter II

Does Wandy have a no-minor league clause? He's pitched well this spring, would be nice to have him waiting in AAA if there were injuries.

I believe Wandy's deal is a minor league contract with an invite to Spring Training.

Singleton will get 30 games to prove himself. He could be another JD Martinez... But he looks like a more likable Brett Wallace.

I really want Tyler White to get a shot. I think his skillset is something we don't really have in our lineup and he'd be a very valuable addition.

The lowest OBP he's ever posted was .362 in 28 games at low A (still excellent). Outside of that, his OBP has never been below .400.

He's been more likely to take a walk than strikeout (174 walks to 164 strikeouts).

Bad body, not enough power blah blah. All he's done in the minor leagues is be a very good hitter, a very patient hitter. We've got a metric frickton of guys who don't hit for average, can hit 20 homers and will strikeout 100+ times. White is the opposite. Hell stick him in the lead off spot ahead of Altuve, Correa and Springer. He might not steal bases but I feel confident that one of those guys can drive him in.
