He has definitely improved his stock with his post-deadline stint in Boston. I would love for him to stay in Boston - dude is a helluva guy to slot in the #4 spot in the rotation.

I know it's odd. When I was in grad school in NOLA in the late 80s, a friend of mine's Pop lived in NYC during the 60s and watched Mantle and that crew play. He would talk about those games at Sunday dinner and I fell in love with the Yankee mystique. What can I say? LA doesn't have a pro baseball team. I'm a Saints fan all the way having grown up in New Iberia.
