I'd like to see some homegrown talent, like the Core Four.

He was damn good, but there more pieces than just him.
Eh. Beltran was fricking nuts in 04. 8HR and 21 runs in 12 games. That team was so stacked.

Only Astros to hit over .300 in LCS (.417)
Division series Biggio, Berkman, and Bagwell all had good series, LCS Berkman hit .292 but everyone else hit below .260

Biggio
Beltran
Bagwell
Berkman
Kent
all in one lineup.
Clemens
Oswalt
Pettite
all in one rotation.
05 got to the WS but that 04 team could have won it all. fricking Jim Edmonds.

At the game sitting in the cheap seats and damn it is high up here. Forgot how high up it was seeing I usually just sit down on the lower lever and have a row to myself.

That pitching staff was dirty too. I was at the Jeff Kent walk off game. I think I took 1000 pictures with random Mexicans after that game.

04 team was sick. Beltran had one of the best part of a seasons I've ever seen.

Don't forget Morgan Ensberg whose best seasons were 04 and 05, finished 3rd in MVP voting in 2005 I think

Hold on boys, we are about to see the bullpen

we fricked up not when we focused on signing Beltran and not Kent after that season. Hindsight is 20/20

-100 mil and we had a chance of signing him. Plus we ended up losing both and still went to the world series the next year. We may have not gotten swept with Kent.
