Then why won't AEW release financials for 2020 like WWE did?

Not to get involved in this little pissing match, but isn’t WWE public and AEW privately owned? If so, there’s your answer.

Dan Severn wrestled for PW225 (local independent promotion) last year... it was not a pleasant sight. He is not in wrestling shape, due to his age.

Yeah I’d like Dan as a coach type figure. Hawkx Aeire are my favorite local act. Obviously.

Yet the supposed new #1 promotion in the business should still be glad to that. Hmm...

Yeah, Chioda really came off badly.

Treating the whole thing like a joke didn’t come across well, such as joking that Hall wasn’t dead, “he’ll kick out.”

The biggest issues, IMHO, were that it was an international chartered flight and the accumulation of shite that happened in one go that made it so legendary.

An average run in Stampede would be worse than this thanks to Dynamite et all dropping Halcyons in everyone’s drinks but no one noticed there because it was busses or convoys of guys going from Calgary to Red Deer, not an international flight from London to Connecticut.

WWE overseas tours are somewhat notorious for having one or more things go majorly wrong, be it Vader assaulting a TV host in Kuwait, Sunny having literal shite put in her dinner, Koko B Ware and a WWE exec having a brawl, etc, but all of these incidents happened in one leg of the tour with witnesses who weren’t just the boys.

WWF went public decades after their inception. AEW is almost 3 years old.

What? No, that's not a normal thing for a privately owned company.

That reminds me of a story from Shamrock's book. He was traveling with Pillman in 97 WWF and started freaking out because Brian was slumped over in the passenger seat and drooling. He pulls into the hotel where all the boys are staying and run in to get Austin. Steve comes out and laughs it off, "oh he's just all gimmicked up on Somas, he'll kick out eventually" and went back in the hotel restaurant/bar while laughing.

I'd like to give Chioda and especially Dreamer the benefit of the doubt that they'd feel differently after actually watching the episode and listening to the flight attendant describe what happened and how she felt.

I don’t think Chioda is that self aware.

Dreamer really should have been because, at this point, he has been management for roughly 15-20 years. He was working talent relations under Johnny Ace in the early 2000s while Cornette was still running OVW.

Working at Impact (the former TNA) may be like running a trailer park but there are at least standards expected of management at WWE.

AEW just announced a partnership the Owen Hart Foundation, including a tournament of the same name. Will include Owen Hart merch.

I know this will mean a lot to JR, Natty, Brian Jr, Jericho, TJ Wilson and Davey Boy Jr.

Oh and the Hitman as well.

Very few stayed in the straight and narrow— Bob Backlund & The One Man Gang are two who always avoided the drugs & women.

It's also a total finger in the eye to Vince and WWE. Which was probably one of the reasons the family went along with it. They obviously want to keep Owen's name alive, but will never let WWE profit off it again.

Yep, Martha’s revenge.

She has been getting shite for years from people for not allowing WWE to put him in the hall of fame, with claims that she was trying to keep his legacy out of wrestling.

Throwing in with AEW fits on several levels, including with former Dungeon wrestlers like Jericho being involved.

Wonder what her payday is. It’s pathetic too because Owen nor any of the other Harts have anything to do with All Ex Wwe and they are missing out on doing a good tribute to a guy who did work for their company that is beloved by his peers in the industry.

What’s next? Benoit Night? A Eddie Guerrero tribute?

Martha doesn’t want WWE profiting from Owen’s name and image.

And she has a point because the company’s bullshite got him killed.

I can't imagine how much space aew has in your head. What's funny is everyone knows you're trolling, but at some point you probably begin to believe your own shite.

And Brett actually presented the AEW title when it was revealed, but you already knew that didn't you.
