I was this years old when I realized that Vandy’s Javier Vaz is the son of Roberto Vaz, former Bama player. In researching this, I see that he played at LSU Eunice for two years, and his brother is currently at LSUE

Do y’all remember Roberto Vaz? He was the Bama player who missed the 1997 NC game due to rolling his ankle on a stray ball on the ground. He was supposed to the guy that would have made up that 7 run deficit in the NCG according to 1997 Bama fans

probably the only guy in the game that could go from 1st to 3rd on that play without having been in motion on the pitch
at least I didn't see he was going... but I have the game muted and wasn't looking at the screen until the play was in motion
