Am I wrong, or did SFP say that Cutler's value was not even 1 1st rounder?
you're wrong

because his value is way less than #1
maybe exchanging the 1 for 12 and the broncos giving something else up

If true, Orton & two #1s, is way too much for diabetes w/poor TD-Int ratio.
Bears were dumb here, and also Bowlen's magic touch is going the route of Davis Jr..senile?

Orton is a scrub and the Bears suck at drafting in the 1st round anyway. To have a true franchise QB is a dream come true for every Bears fan.
I agree with these points except that Kyle is pretty good. He got a lot better. Definitely not close to Cutler's talent and potential though. Since when are first round picks or any picks sure things in the NFL? They'll probably both be picks in the 18-32 range anyway for Denver. Plus the Bears added Orlando Pace and two other O-linemen in FA this year already so their line is good with good running backs for '09 I think. And they have good tight ends to throw to as well.
Yeah they need receivers, but Cutler will make them better (Bennett and Hester) and the Bears can get good ones this year in the draft and maybe rest of free agency.
I still think the defense is good, they just need guys to stay healthy and also add some talent back to the secondary. I'm expecting playoffs for several years in a row for the Bears now, with hopefully an SB (obviously).

Horrible trade for Chicago IMO... I saw it last night and just figured it was the booze talking.

Time will tell. I'm not ruling out totally that Cutler could suck in the long run, but I'm a fan of his talent and what he can do. They just need to surround him with more talent.
You have to understand being a Bears fan and not having a respected pro bowl, franchise type QB for so long. It is hard to endure. And it shows that Bears management is finally committed to making bold moves which is nice. And the Bears draft guys are historically better at drafting late in the draft anyway, so yeah.

With the addition of Cutler to Bennett, Williams and Hillenmeyer, the Bears now have just over 30% of all Vandy players in the NFL...
