Yeah, being that they are just starting football it's going to be bad at the start. They will eventually pick up some quality talent, but it will be a long time before they are competitive.

I think the Big East's strategy should have been to stay in the East, and help some of the Eastern schools, like UMass and Delaware, move up to FBS in football, similar to what UConn did.
I would much rather have UMass in all sports than SMU.

The Big East was stupid. There is no way that strategy will work long term. Rutgers vs Boise St? UCF vs SD State? What happens when Boise becomes mediocre again?

Well congrats on beating bill stewart and the chokies in one year when every other year they have both waxed ECU. ECU has a great fan base for sure but they really offer nothing after that. Good thing i went to WVU and not ECU which was in my final 3 choices along with USCe

They've been moving downhill in football since that season and it has cost them, considering football and their fan base and growing facilities was the only thing ECU had going for them.

CUSA should be great in basketball & baseball and will probably take a few seasons for ODU, Charlotte, & UTSA to get better
