and let's not forget the fact that CRAIG JAMES KILLED 5 HOOKERS WHILE HE WAS AT SMU.

Y'all bring up our games against Vandy, ole piss and troy. Well we won those games. Who is #3? OK n OK lite who lost their games against scrubs comparable to ole piss, Vandy, and troy? Stanford who lost badly to Oregon who LSU beat handily? VT hasn't played anyone. Oregon is the only team with a argument for 3rd against the hogs outside UH.

How many wins do y'all have against the top 50? I would say 1. Y'all got blown out by both the number 1 and number 2 teams.

Iowa State is much better than Ole Miss, Troy and Vanderbilt, and that's the only subpar performance on Oklahoma State's record. The Coaches have Arkansas right where they should be, #10.

Agreed. They didn't belong on the same field with the two really good teams they got CRUSHED by.

He'll seem as wrong as the computer polls that have them that high too?

Craig James is about as bad as it gets when it comes to football knowledge and commentary.

Actually, the computers had them ranked #8, lower than both the Coaches and the Harris polls who had them at #6. I'm okay with #6, as long as the one-loss AQ's (Alabama, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Virginia Tech) are ranked ahead of them. There are only 120 teams in FBS and when your schedule is ranked in the 100's, you need to be held accountable for it. You could even argue that Boise State should be ahead of them since their schedule is ranked in the 40's ahead of Virginia Tech's schedule which is in the 50's.

Well, yeah, Houston was #8 on average in the computer polls but #5 and #6 in a couple.

Much worse is Texas which was unranked in the Coaches' and #25 in Harris yet #17 in the computers overall including a #13 and #15.

My only point is that Texas' computer numbers seem much more "extreme" than any of James' rankings as bad as some of them seem.

But remember that the computers see the Big 12 as the strongest conference this year, so Texas' conference losses don't hurt them as much.

I don't see the big deal. They aren't crazy. Texas was ranked #22 in the BCS. Houston was ranked 6th in the BCS.

6, 22 - BCS
5, 22 - Craig

It's not like he ranked UH 1st, like that douche ranked BSU 1st.

I completely understand why.

However, that doesn't make seeing such mediocre teams like Texas and Missouri so high in the computer polls any less "extreme."

I was just pointing out that people are criticizing James as an idiot (which i think he is, by the way) for Texas / Arkansas / Houston /Missouri poll votes that are far less extreme than some of the computer rankings.

But one spot makes a big difference once you get into the top five and he was the only one who ranked Houston that high. If he ranked Alabama #1, you wouldn't say that since he only ranked them one spot higher than everybody else, it's okay.

Not according to the link you posted. According to the link, 4 agree with him, 6 had them HIGHER, and 49 had them lower. Again, not egregious.

I didn't say it was ok because it was only one spot. I said that the rankings were not crazy. Ranking Bama #1 would be crazy; just like ranking Boise #1 was crazy.
