This trade kind of blows for all sides.

if it's really kmart and LO and dragic, this hornets team just got better and this is among the best ways the hornets could've gone for paul.

add Scola and I agree with it all

Good bye parity.

Hello football/hockey.

The NBA officially sucks as bad as baseball.

I dont see why the Hornets board is in full frick the world mode.

Martin is a solid 23 PPG guy
Scola just got off a year of 18/8
Odom will probably put up 15/10 with an increased role
+picks and possibly Gragic

Long term its iffy, but for the next couple years thats a really really good deal.

all of those guys are team first guys too, who are versatile.
this team conceivably could be better than last year.

Another superstar goes to a big market team in the NBA... or in MLB. This stuff is predictably routine and the reason I can never take those leagues seriously. Why should I buy Hornets tickets when they're always going to be at a long term competitive disadvantage?

Are a lot of Colleges at a competitive disadvantage based off of location for football? I still continue to support my team even though I know they don't have a legitimate chance of winning a championship.

Because its Mediocrity/ 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th seeds for the next 2 years.

In no way did we put ourselves in position for DEEP playoff runs unless those picks turn out well.

We were already that type of team with Paul. The fans want to see PROGRESS, and none was made.

But I do understand, it was the best we could do.

Meanwhile LA just geared up for another 3+ years of sustained dominance.

Even if the trade makes sense, it is still hard to cope with losing your superstar.

As a Hornets fan, I'm not too pleased with this but I'm reserving judgment. But Rockets fans have gotta be LIVID right now.

It is to me. I will root for the Hawks whether they are 0-12 or 12-0 and watch every minute of every game.

So college football is only fun for about 20 schools?

Yeah. Martin, Scola, + for Gasol is pretty bad. But I think they did it with the intention of freeing up cap room to sign a top FA.

So it could turn into Martin/Scola/ + for the Gasol brothers.
