Your perspective of the PAC-10 is whacked.
Oregon and Oregon St. on the level of LSU?
I'm guessing you're saying Oregon and Oregon St. are second and third behind USC?
LSU is fourth or fifth best in the SEC this year, but won the NC last year. What did Oregon and Oregon St. do last year or for the last decade?
Your comparisons are similar to the way they set up the bowl matchups. Another conferences runner up or third best against our third to fifth best. That way the game stays competitive.
I would take LSU on a neutral field versus Oregon and Oregon St. all day, BTW.
On a par with Arizona and Cal? Wow, one year of losing to three teams in the top 5 or 10 in the nation and we're on a par with a team we arse raped two years ago.
Your credibility is dropping like the Dow.

Back to the original point of this thread. A west coast USC homer on ESPN tries to convince me that the SEC is garbage while being yet another ESPN fluffer boy to USC? SHOCKING, I tell ya.
Yet another reason that I avoid insipid tripe like Gameday and refuse to listen to sports talk radio.
Spout off all you want, SEC haters. Just remember that in what's universally considered an "off" year for the SEC, one SEC team is #1 and another is a legitimate NC contender.
I've always said that a sure sign of success is wannabes saying how terrible you are.
So, in conclusion...A TOAST TO THE HATERS...may we keep you whining like little bitches for years to come.

No Oregon and Oregon St. are not on the same level as LSU. They are better. Plain and simple and if you removed your purple and gold glasses you would see that.
Give Oregon or Oregon St LSU's schedule and they would both perform much better.

Oregon was a torn muscle away from an NC last year.

Last season, when healty Oregon was the best team in college football. Wasn't just Dixon who went down though. THey lost their top 3 QB's, Jeremiah Johnson, and 2 of their top-3 recievers.

LMAO@PacTen and their fans. Do they really want to compare the PacOne and the SEC. You've got to be kidding me. USC is awesome. No doubt about that. They can win in any conference but the pacten is a joke.

does joke=winning record vs the SEC this decade? SEC has all the hype and is the media darling, but on the football field the PAC-10 as proven to be better head to head.

We'll coming from a guy who thinks Tebow will be a 1st rounder I take that with a grain of salt.
Face facts Oregon or Oregon St would not struggle with the poor teams that LSU has, and would have a good chance of winning at least 1 out of home games vs. Georgia and Bama. Odds are that both Oregon St and Oregon would win 1 vs those 2 at home.
The Sagarin predictor has Oregon St. ranked 11, and they are undefeated at home. Oregon's only home loss is where their Qb was knocked out the game vs Boise St.

A USC fan griping about someone else being a media darling. That's like Barney Frank trying to lecture me on financial accountability.

I'm going to give you a chance at being competent enough to reply, but your friend has lost me.
It was a torn ligament, not muscle.
LSU played with an injured QB for much of last season, and played without him twice, including their championship game. In that game, their backup sustained a cut finger on his throwing hand that required multiple stitches.
We still won the game and the NC. What happened to Oregon when Dixon went down? They couldn't get a fricking first down and last time I checked, Dixon didn't play on defense.

Talking USC/SEC.
Sort of silly comparison: one team vs. a conference.
How badass a team could you put together if you took the best players from the South and put them on ONE TEAM, with all other schools having to compete for the dregs?

why is that only pacten fans think the pacten is any good? i doubt anyone outside the west coast would agree with you. how many pacten teams been ranked for consecutive weeks? I don't get into speculative argurements like who would beat who. but do you really think the rest of the pacten would have a winning record in the sec? come on man...u wanna talk about homers?

It was not just Dixon who went down, it was their top-3 QB's. They had to play guys who were getting no reps in practice. A huge difference.
The results of practice time were clearly evident when Oregon destroyed South Florida in their bowl game.

USC beating Ark two years ago and Ore losing Dixon is the only arguements pacten fans have? this is beyond silly.

Florida's players are better, but they come from all over.

u think Ore was the only team had injuries? good teams have depth. LSU was a badly banged up team the end of last season.
