There’s some D3’s out there that I imagine don’t even institute a summer conditioning program. In a perfect scenario yes you’re right but that’s not what every program has going on.

True freshmen are also better prepared to step in and play than they were decades ago. Better high school coaching, 7 on 7, and year round development have contributed to that.

People lumping NAIA in with D3 just don’t get it.
NAIA gives scholarships and have almost no academic standards for athletes. They’re similar to D2 and occasionally get D1 talent with academic issues or JUCOS who can’t get back into D1

Weren't those same D3 kids just in H.S. where they couldn't get a scholarship?
