Right now, there are 79 bowl-eligible teams for the 78 bowl spots. Florida State (5-6) plays ULM next weekend, New Mexico State (5-6) plays South Alabama, and UL-Lafayette (5-6) plays Appalachian State. So looks like there will be 79-82 bowl-eligible teams so 1-4 teams will be left out from the 78 available slots.

One of the big downsides of a 9 game conference schedule. You lose a cupcake for teams like Indiana and Minnesota to get more teams in there

I mean it’s completely accurate and costs the conference cash

La Tech shouldn't get an invite since they were above certain bowls a few years ago.

(ULL would need to beat App State on the road next weekend to be eligible)

La Tech has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in three games this year. If they stay at home, it’s their own fault.

I don’t blame them for turning down the I Bowl. I’m surprised it was offered in the first place.

Holtz will take whatever bowl offers. They want the extra practice and game.

Louisiana Tech should be 10-2 with losses to. Kiffin's team and Miss St.

How they lost to South Carolina, UNT, USM and UAB is simply painful.

Also, they need a new QB asap.

Yep. USM, especially. The player that stupidly jumped up and touched that onside kick made a terrible decision. He should have let it sail past him and blocked.

wasn't that the year ULM was in it? That probably had more to do with it

Compliments of Rice (1 win), Charlotte (1 win), and UTEP (0 wins).

Every conference has bad teams. AAC had Tulsa (2 wins), ECU (3 wins), Connecticut (3 wins), Cincinnati (4 wins).
