He has thoroughly outplayed the “best player in the league” in KDs last two playoff series before this one. Oh and the team won a lot more with harden on the court than with KD.
You keep doing this thing where you say "he outplayed player X" but his team is not winning.
They beat Boston...they are not a good team. Again, in game 6 or game 7 against teams that matter tell me his stats and how he outplayed everyone. Because it doesn't exist. Don't show me the first 2 game in a series where he goes 5/17 in game 7

There is no game 7 if he doesn’t score 40 pts in game 3 and 4 v GSW 2 years back. It is GSW in 4. It is a sweep. Like what happens with bron. The problem with ignoring the numbers is peoples memory doesn’t recall eveything, just what they want to fit the narrative.
In hardens last 8 elimination games he is shooting over 48% from the field. Averaging 27 ppg. your memory fails you my man. Obvi would be even better if not for the injury.

In Atlanta’s case, it is generally because you get a ton of transplants who are already fans of teams and who are NOT Hawks fans. Having a huge TV base in the region doesn’t mean shite if people don’t watch the games.
Actually, Atlanta consistently ranks top 2 or 3 in viewership for NBA playoffs/Finals. And that is w/o the Hawks being a factor. You are wrong on this.
Calling Atlanta a small market is just buying into the media's ignorance/talking points.

I haven’t heard a buzz around this Hawks team FROM ACTUAL HAWKS FANS since the Nique days, like Hawks fans actually exist out there it’s amazing and Ice Trae, Nate McMillan, and the supporting cast they assembled completely turned things around, I used to doubt this team, not anymore, they’re going to play Phoenix in the Finals and it will be AWESOME.

2 years back????? Who cares about that…. I still believe that you think Harden outplayed KD in this last series…..

The last two playoff series they both were healthy in. 2 to zero. this one don’t count for Anything. can’t grade a player who is on one leg as if he was on two.

he’s the best player in the nba when healthy.
Maybe best scorer, player no.

Actually the best scorer is debatable, if you are talking about efficiency you can go with KD but he hasn’t scored at anything close to the volume that harden has. hardens combo of playmaking + scoring is unmatched. The ability to lead the best offense in the league when asked to score or when asked to play PG. he can do both at best in the league level.

last 8 elimination games he is shooting over 48% from the field.
He was 5/17 in Game 7
12/20 in Game 5 which they lost by 20; so his team wasn't in it and it doesn't count in a game 6/7 situation
Game 7 against OKC the year before
11/25 against warriors year before
12/29 year before against warriors
2/11 against the Spurs in 2017
He was 12/23 against the warriors in 2016 in a game they lost by 33
He shot above 50% twice and both times his team lost by 20; ie they were never in it and he wasn't feeling the heat. All the rest he failed miserably.

You are cherry picking certain games
I took all 8 of the last elimination games that he played in.

So again.. did KD play great in this last series or not?????
Posted on 6/21/21 at 4:05 pm to dukke v
KD did about the best he could. His lack of playmaking didn’t help him but he made a lot of big shots. If he was a little better at spotting the open man or generating easy shots for his teammates he could have lightened his load a little and had more gas in the tank.
Posted on 6/21/21 at 4:08 pm to Boomshockalocka
So he was supposed to pass the ball to a guy like Harden who was 5-17 shooting??????

Bucks lost 2 of 3 to the Knicks this year brah?
And the Knicks swept the Hawks in the regular season so I’m not sure what point you’re making here

Went to watch game 6 at a Taco Mac well north of Atlanta and it was packed with nothing but Hawks shirts and jerseys. When Trae hit that 3 right before the lights went out the place went nuts. Game 3 of the ECF is going to be absolutely nuts

Post the stats because I think you are wrong in your post.

My point is as solid.
The Knicks are on vacation at the hand of these Hawks now as are now to disbelievers like you, the vaunted 76Rs of whom I think are a better team than either the Nets or the Bucks.
Hawks are on the tarmac in Milwaukee not celebrating another minor victory in Atlanta.
Honey Badger don’t care about Milwaukee cobras he fina eat!

Go to bballref
-Game logs
-playoff career
-look at the elimination games
Add them up. That’s what you get for the last 8 of them.
