If I owned an NFL team I’d be involved in the football ops side too, otherwise what’s the point?

Yeah but after 25 years of pure shite, when is enough enough?

Yep, Landry took the cowboys to 10 NFC championship games and 2 NFL Championship games from 1966 to 1982. Played in 5 Super Bowls and won 2. From 65 to 85 they had no losing seasons. Then 3 consecutive losing seasons under Landry.

The way Jones booted Landry did not sit well with many people. It always seemed like he could have talked with Tom and asked him to retire rather than just firing him on day 1 without any warning.

Fast forward and you have to wonder how that same man kept Jason Garret for so long. 9 seasons, 4 winning seasons, 2 losing seasons and 4 8-8 seasons. Playoffs only 3 times. This is part of the egocentric mindset he has.

Now I have never been a Cowboys fan but I did have a lot of respect for Tom Landry.

People who hire you have an investment in you, even if it’s just from a reputation standpoint. If a new boss comes in it doesn’t reflect poorly on him to fire you for being a frick up.

Should they think his kids will do better?

Jones has turned a 150 million dollar investment into 7 billion dollars. The cowboys are the highest valued American sports team. No matter what you think of Jones, his ownership of the cowboys has been extremely successful.

The guy is living the absolute life and people act like he has some kind of problem he needs to fix. Hilarious.

I would suggest that everyone stop worrying about Jerry. He’s doing just fine.

Interesting fact:

The Dallas Cowboys have never been in a Super Bowl that was broadcast in HDTV.

With Jimmy's players.

With the exception of Parcells, Jerry's head coaching hires since have always smacked of underachievers and bootlickers.

It'll be interesting to see if Sean Payton ends up there.
