Neither does Florida, USC, and to a somewhat lesser extent LSU and UGA. But if you have a booster that feels he won't get caught, has a questionable moral compass, and has the opportunity to invest in the success of the program by taking care of a recruit.... He will do a little something. Why just go for buying dinner when you can help a future/current Aggie/Longhorn/Tiger be comfortable for a little while?
Thats the thinking. And if you don't think it goes on in Texas just because Texas is an easy recruiting gig, well, you just don't understand human nature.

It's alumni that want to feel like they're on the inside, a part of the team/product and want to be treated as such that do this. Most HC's are very far removed and if they get drug in like Tressel they either shoot a hole in their own ship by walking down to compliance or they think a little admission will fade the heat long enough for the dust to settle. With the Yahoo's, Sports By Brooks etc of the world everything will ultimately come out in the wash and the NCAA will have to react.

Listening to the audio online, CC says something along the lines of we are going to talk with Colt McCoys wife Rachel, who just called in....I can't imagine ESPN would schedule her on the day of a NBA Finals game, especially that arrogant assholes show. Maybe Gotleib, but Colin not so much.
