Matt Miller and a lot of other scouts had him as the no.1 or no.2 overall TE going into this year's draft. Colt says he will not transfer, and will pursue "a professional career"

Rumors are the guy is leaving school because he was approached by an agent to make money now while preparing for the draft, and he was over going to school.

Kids are dumb. How can you not just sit there and shut up for a couple more games?

And possibly win a ring.

That's a shitty thing to do to your teammates. I wouldn't draft that dude after some shite like that

Hopefully his draft stock tumbles because of this.

He was a huge weapon for us last year. We have a true freshman TE who has been a beast for us this year, but it really hurts our depth.

He has had issues. He missed part of fall camp for us last year before he had an amazing season. He was suspended last week for violating team rules (skipping class and tutoring sessions).

Just put your head down, get through 8 more weeks of class, and market yourself to NFL teams by tearing it up on the field for a national title contender. This makes no sense unless he had a chance to get money now from an agent.

Or he already took money and this is the easiest way for him to leave without NCAA trouble.

It will not do anything to his draft, if he does good on his workouts he will get drafted high

Hell if he really hates school and doesn't care about his teammates just skip all those classes and all you're ineligible for is the bowl. That'd get you a lot less criticism from NFL scouts than completely quitting on your team.

Good move. More blue chips need to follow suit so the NCAA/NFL trust will be broken, and the NCAA athletes can share in the profits that they generate.

But the problem is Helfrich won't let him see the field if he doesn't go to class. I was a tutor at Oregon. Coaches are pretty tight about going to class.

Remember Marquess Wilson? I actually saw mock drafts before the season last year that had him going in the 1st round. If he had his head on straight, he was probably a 2nd or 3rd rounder, but he dropped to the 7th.

I could see this costing Lyerla 2-3 rounds.

Unless the Oregonian got that article coming out tomorrow the keystone cops aren't gonna find the dirt on him.

At least Mundt looks pretty good, so it'll lessen the blow, but still a hit for Oregon

So, that's why he didn't travel with the team. Money, hating school, and Helfrich "disrespecting" him was his reasons.

No worries, Mundt will be a better catching TE than him anyway. I already knew he was gone, but damn.

So how much will you pay swimmer and golfer? Or how about the rowing team?

You have no clue what you're talking about. Soon as a fb player gets paid, get ready for the law suit because federal law is broken.
