Prices

TV timeouts...if they are going to be long. I've always thought they can show another game on the video board.

I can see why this type of conversation will be pointless with a fan of one of the teams that is "never out of it".

No disrespect to you, but I don't want to debate who deserves what in what specific year.

So you have no point...got it. The fact is Clemson, Bama, OSU, and OU have been the best teams in the country over the past 5 years, and they have been in the playoffs a lot. I get what you are saying, but their records speak for them deserving

DING DING DING

I've been saying for years this is the main crux of the issue, but no one wants to admit it.

Not only that, but those same 4 or 5 teams play by different rules. So much so to the point that their fans KNOW if they lose their biggest game(s), it is no big deal, while fans of other schools know their hopes of a MNC are OVER.

Level the playing field and not make special rules for the blueblood. This will help tremendously.

Best way to do this is by playoff expansion. All P5 champs get in no matter what. Winning your division is access to the playoffs if you do that as a CCG win gets you in. More games have meaning, more games matter.

Right now a single loss kills most teams seasons and that puts a buzzkill on attendance.

If you are a fan of an FCS team you know that games down the stretch when you are in the playoff hunt matter. Enthusiasm is still there even after a couple losses.

College football is way ahead of the game, they’ve been preparing for the corona virus for years.....empty stadiums are the answer to all of our problems.

We get this thread all the time and the answer never changes. You cant. It just makes no sense for me to get bent over with prices in every single conceivable way to sit and die in 110° heat index weather to watch A&M play tarleton state when I could do all of that from the comfort of my place with a TV that gives me better views

All that needs to happen is for schools to start prioritizing fan experience over game day profit.

1.) Stop raising ticket prices.

2.) Reduce parking fees.

3.) Control concession prices. I can get a bottle of water for 19 cents at Walmart in a 24 pack. Why does that bottle cost 3 or 4 dollars at the game?

4.) Open up tailgating activities rather than restricting them.

5.) Do... something... about traffic

6.) Declutter the scoreboard.

I realize the universities have to make money, but it's amazing the way they have transformed the game into purely a corporate profit machine.

Honestly, I don't think the trend can be reversed.

Might see some venues here and there that come up with some ideas that might temporarily stem the tide. but ultimately, IMHH this is a generational and societal trend and college football is losing ground and honestly it will never again be what it was.

I blame LSU’a parking policy for killing small games. Ppl don’t want to pay $40 to park and tailgate for the UAB game.

Eliminate pay to tailgate, and more will come to campus/game

LSU also needs to stream the game to fans in their seats so they can view critical plays and hear commentary

LSU should also create a 4th qtr tradition that behooves fans stay beyond halftime

Cfb sucks, more proof.

No more P5 playing div 2 schools.

Playoff needs 16 teams, when your team is out nothing to root for.

Length of games.

Salary cap for coaching. Parity is the key. Cheaters punished heavily, more investigations into osu and destroy their program like they did usc.
