I didn't see anything wrong on the video. The "kid" is a sophomore in college, not a 5 year old at Tee Ball practice. He's a pussy for filing charges and I hope he loses his scholarship.

the "coach" is a grown man and should act like a professional

No, because it was universal treatment. Everyone on the team complied. My coach was a Wooden disciple and a tyrant but he would have never blindsided a player physically. If he had done that where I played he would have most likely been hit in the mouth.

Once again, do you think that the coach in the OP's example acted correctly and deserved zero punishment?

Basically. The video confirmed what I felt.

So basically you're making my argument for me. Got it.

You think this coach singled this guy out?

legally that coach is fricking done

esp because it's on tape

Mixed feelings on this kinda thing but in this case the coach was out of line... whether he deserves everything bad that he's going to get is another question - because he'll likely be fired and lose some significant cash in a lawsuit

The "kick" was nothing but he was trying to show the players how tough he was more than teach IMO... different kids need different approaches and you could see this kid was not learning anything from the heckle and shove approach

Maybe for the kick, but even that is nothing to file charges over.

Thats what you think this coach was doing, setting a pick?

Youre smarter than this. The coach is a punk bitch. You dont treat a kid on your team like that. The cheap shot hit was one thing but the continued verbal assault was just as bad. The coach acted out of anger and went way over the line. He was out of control.

Do you think he ever did this to one of his players?

He's lucky to get off with a suspension.

And I'm laughing my arse off at the internet tough guys who think that this is acceptable behavior from the coach and calling the player a "wuss".

The coach was way out of line, and it is quite clear that he singled out that one player.

Really? One edited video makes it quite clear he was singled out?

Now, I am not saying ny any means that that coach was right in what he did, in my opinion that coach is a arse clown and needs to be fired. I, personally would have never filed for a police report, but in the same breath I would have politely asked him could he please show ME exactly what he did to my kid during practice, and I promise you he never would have "checked" me like that.....

oh yeah, I'm sure you clicked on the link with an openmind ready to accept if you were wrong, and in no way viewed the video in a manner to just reinforce the stand you had already taken.

Nothing in that vid was bad except for maybe the kick. I was expecting worse based on what was being said about the coach.
