So the kid complained to the AD/school, and the AD/school basically said they weren't going to do anything about it. That should be the end of it, story over.

He assaulted the kid. There was no teaching involved in what he did. End of Story!

Has this kid ever taken a charge, or been fouled hard on a lay-up? I'm sure he has been knocked over before on the basketball floor. Did they file a police report then?

Are you fricking serious dude?

He grabbed the ball from the kid, both hands were on the ball. However, the coach went in too aggressively and fouled the kid. There was not any intent by the coach to hurt the kid. It was a foul, plain and simple, I have seen hundreds of times in a basketball game where a player ended up bleeding because of a foul. As I said before, the coach went over the top by mocking the player for bleeding and sending him out of practice. But that doesn't mean a police report should be filed.

There is nothing in the law that says you have to have intent to assault someone. The coach was pissed and felt like being a dick and laying the kid out to teach him a lesson. Plain and simple.

Fact is without seeing the whole video and seeing how everyone else was treated no one here knows anything for certain, especially as far as intent. Looked rough, yea, but the kid is still acting like a pussy IMHO
