I hope the guy looks like the old DRose but at this point I'm going to have to see it myself before I believe it. Last summer all I heard was that he was going to be a much improved shooter then he came out and I didn't see a huge difference.

Why would anyone believe he was near where he was until he proves that he is?

I will never understand why so many people seem to be rooting for the guy to fail.

Plus the same people making the "he will get hurt again" jokes are probably the same idiots who goofed on him for not coming back sooner after his first knee injury.
he has certainly had an interesting rollercoaster ride as far as PR goes. a little over 3 years ago, he was the quiet, humble, hometown kid who people were trying to say he was better than LBJ. then, he didnt come back from injury fast enough, and hes an injury plagued bum who wont recruit other stars to play with him. as usual, the truth lies somewhere in between.

ive always thought d-rose was more of an athletic marvel than supreme basketball talent (eerily similar to russ westbrook). hes so physically gifted when he plays, you marvel at how his body moves and how hes able to explode in/out of breaks and launch to the rim, it kind of hypnotizes you and keeps you from seeing hes a volume 43% shooter who doesnt play much D. im kinda hoping the knee troubles is a blessing in disguise for him. rely less on amazing athleticism, refine the intricacies of the game, make others better, ect. time will tell....

Seeing that LBJ had a better season by nearly every statistical measure, I'd say they're justified in their bitterness.

A combination of The Decision and voter fatigue is why Rose won the award.
