How close is AEW to being on par with WWE? I hear nothing good about WWE these days.

Aew is a superior product, but wwe is still the most well known wrestling company in the world.

That's what I heard from my friend. He said he cried tonight when punk came back.

Despite the fanboying it’s not in the ballpark with them. AEW has all of the 99-01 WCW problems without the success of 95-98 WCW. At least WCW’s billionaire owner was the actual billionaire. This time it’s the son of the billionaire running the show.

Honestly, frick that shite. I don’t want to have to watch 6 wrestling shows a week.

Vince is preparing to sell the company. They way they are shedding contracts makes it pretty obvious.

Ehhh

I'm not even an AEW hater, but it's far from "superior".

Hell, the RK-BRO storyline on RAW has been more compelling than anything AEW has come up with recently.

Why would someone be that emotional about a wrestler?

What’s so good about him?is he the one who tried to fight in the ufc

This. I just can't get into AEW and Punk coming back only to challenge Darby Allin just shows they still don't have a clue. Also the fact the show still revolves around Omega, Jericho and the Young Bucks, two of the three still as title holders, is embarrassing.

Whoever said they are going the WCW route kind of nailed it on the head

First time I’ve ever watched AEW and holy shite was I disappointed. They actually turned CM Punk into a rambling nincompoop in his very first appearance. Impressive

Not even close. WWE still made over $130 million in profit last year. AEW is too scared to even release numbers.

Why didn't they bring him back on the PPV instead of a shown in Friday night that no one watches. Isn't their PPv scheduled for this weekend in Chicago as well?

I don't watch wrestling regularly, but I enjoy Jim Cornette's show and he despises AEW's product. I gave it a whirl once or twice and it is a really shitty product, but the CM Punk thing is pretty big for the company.

They should really use him to catapult the company into a legit company, but the show has lots and lots of flaws... But this clip of his entrance LINK is kind of stunning, especially with JR on the call.
