It's all misinformation to keep CC down. They don't want them stepping up in GOATs absence.

Its according to the media plan.
Golden State is obviously going to be much lesser this coming season, which means Houston is one of THE teams going into 19/20.
The new talking points are build up LA Lakers and tear down Houston because of them being competition to LA.
Go into 19-20 with the narrative that the Rockets are in turmoil and the Lakers are fresh and new as the finals favorites.
Vegas lines right now have the Lakers as title favorites.
It's all a show.

True, and they want the Lakers to fill the void instead.

1. Morey never said he wasn’t shopping Capela.
2. D’Antoni and the Rockets are working on a contract extension. Morey said he plans for D’Antoni to be the coach for years to come. Both Morey and D’Antoni have said the reports were way overblown and that they’ve been working together on free agency plans.
3. Morey let go of some assistant coaches. So? It’s not like they were D’Antoni’s guys.
4. Paul and Harden may very well have had disagreements about whatever. That doesn’t mean anything. Competitors get after teammates all the time. It’s not always roses behind the scenes. There’s been many reports of Warriors players getting pissed at each other, and they’re 3x champions.

Morey tried to walk back Woj's report that EVERYONE was available by saying he liked his starting five and were keeping key people. Apparently Capela isn't considered a starter anymore.
D'Antoni and Morey can say whatever they like, but no one made them get in to a pissing match about what a lame duck is and who can or should make what decisions.
Morey purged D'Antoni's staff against his wishes. That's news. No other way to spin it.
The report today is the relationship can't be salvaged. The issue is the magnitude of the disagreements. The reportage trends toward the truth of today's rumor. Who knows. Time will tell. I'm sure if someone were willing to take Paul's anchor contract, he'd be gone. I just don't think they can move him. Maybe they'll Melo him and tell him to stay home.

Free Landry's for life is like double supermax anyways. Tilman knows how to work things out using his mafia connection background.

You get to make the playoffs and have top 12 offenses. Downside is you can't make a finals and choke in pivotal games. Depends on what the goal is, I suppose.

According to boom, the goal is least amount of *losing* seasons during his lifetime.
(Notice the careful wording. Because if he were to say 'most winning seasons', his narrative wouldn't work. Gotta prop up those multiple .500 seasons. )

Seems to me like one of the many people who were fired has been in constant touch with the national media and is putting their interpretation on a tense relationship which possibly isn’t so tense in a vacuum.
I’ve never seen so many Rockets related leaks.

That can happen when you fire an entire coaching staff other than the head guy over his objection.

Except that didnt happen and coaches get fired all of the time. That's how sports work, that's how it's always worked.

There would be a literal fight on the court if Paul, Butler and Harden were on the same team
I would watch all CC games for the season.

I wanted to start a thread on this but decided against it.
If neither ever played another game, who had the better career. Harden or CP3?
CP3 for a career. Harden has had a better peak and most likely better career in 5-6 years when we revisit this.
He has higher career PER, VORP, WS, BPM, etc.
