As much as I hate referees, I hate to see this. Hope he is ok and the thugs are held accountable.

Imagine a game without officials. You do realize nearly all are out there because they love the game.

Was watching that game. Both Carolina schools, one small with the chance to beat the bigger school.. it’s emotional. Especially how that game was played in the 4th quarter.

If lsu and Tulane played in a bowl game and Tulane was beating lsu all game long you’d see the same thing.

Are you kidding me? Fights happening on the football field has always happened. This isn't some recent phenomenon.

Not nearly at the level and frequency that they are now and it's a worsening trend - and I have been intimately involved in football since 1970 and baseball since 1972.

According to NFHS stats fights and fight related DQs have risen by nearly 40% iovsr the past 15 years. 25% of that rise is since covid (the shut downs removed many kids from 2 years of social interactions, discipline, academics, accountability and authority - many of these kids will be a lost generation).

The number of game ending brawls in football and basketball have risen at the same rate since COVID. Towel stealing was the 2nd most called UNS foul by last year - right behind taunting.

It’s a reflection of society as a whole.

This whole fight was started by one NC State player. The answer is easy. That player is permanently banned from any NCAA sport.

You do realize it's hard to find a game anymore where the refs are competent?
