Chip Kelly's offense is revolutionary in CFB, in the NFL it was viewed as elementary. He was getting his plays called out pre snap due to massive tendencies and a very thin playbook and language system, and then had no idea how to adjust after that.
We'll see if he can regain that magic on offense, because it's not exactly revolutionary anymore. But his system works much better in a college system that limits the players ability to break down film and practice against his type of offense

He was a hack in the NFL because he was playing with a talent pool that is more level than college. It’s sort of the same reason Saban failed. You can’t stack an NFL team with 5 star recruits.

It also should be noted that he had had success as a coach until he decided he wanted to be a gm

He's not an old Oak Tree.
He's an innovative football coach. It's not like he's going to be stuck in 2010.
Coaches are constantly learning and changing.

Yes but some are more adapt to change than others
His inability to change what he did at all from the Eagles to the 49ers has to be concerning

Well there are certainly talent disparities in the NFL. Saban inherited a 4-12 team and was a game below .500 in two years. Their first season without him they went 1-15. He inherited a really bad football team and made them serviceable.
Jim Harbaugh went to a super bowl and he’s been marginally better than Brady Hoke at Michigan. It’s funny how the Saban narrative has changed over the years. How he “failed” as if he was fired or pushed out. He left on his own terms and the dolphins weren’t happy about it.

I think some people have labeled Chip Kelly as Paul Westhead that rocked it at Loyola Marymount and then bombed doing the same thing with the Denver Nuggets.
I don't think Kelly is just a "system or bust" guy.

How about a #3 scoring offense, #4 scoring offense, and the #11 (or 13 scoring offense) in his three years in philly.
