Let's talk about the Cubs front office for a second. This is why they're geniuses. They got maximum value out of Samardzija and Hammel by getting Billy McKinney, Addison Russell and Dan Straily. The Rays traded their best asset for Austin Jackson and Drew Smyly? That's it?

yea they did great...i still am choosing not to believe that's all the rays go. that's absurdly low.

Also espeically when you consider what arrietta is doing to day and think back to feldman, same story with hammel. Sign and flip (outside of baker) have been great.

The Rays get Drew Smyly and Nick Franklin. I'm not sure that's any better.

Go Cubs, go.

Both guys are useful, but really I have no idea who the Braves would give up. I don't know their system.

I don't know about him. I saw in the other thread he was considered Detroit's #1 prospect, but that is relative.

#7 Braves prospect, #2 catching prospect. So, he's the Cubs #45 prospect.

We could only wish to be able to trade him. More productive lately but we are screwed in the contract we signed with him.
