Well that's because the rivalry started in '67. Wasn't as strong no, and then they were put in separate divisions in the 70's which further deadened it.

We haven't played in the postseaosn. But, as the Caps have advanced out of the 1st round each of the past three years and are working on making it four, and the Pens have only advanced once... no. You're wrong. In the last four years, the Caps have been the better postseason team as well.
