Happily take that trade every time.

Superfan!
I mean, how could you not know that Heyward, who just signed a huge FA deal to come to the Cubs, wasnt making more than he made last season? You can blame ESPN all you want but just one quick glance and I knew that list was shite and from last season just by the salaries posted on it.

You have no idea what this is and it's hilarious. Keep doubling down brother. You are winning the internet!

You're clearly creating your own opponent since none of your little personal flames are even remotely accurate and you can't even correctly recall past quotes or just make up your own entirely. Yet another attempted flame against my education that backfired. But seeing as how I don't even have to be present for you to want to argue, I'll end this massive waste of time and let you have your own fun. Maybe you can bring up a few quotes in a game thread 3 or 4 games from now.

I would have just admitted I was a dumbass a couple of days ago If I were you and saved yourself all the embarrassment since.
You do you though. Never stop never stopping homie.

Assuming you guys saw where Lance Lynn is making his first rehab start for Palm Beach tonight?
Be nice to get him back and use out of the pen at tail end of the season.
Yeah, I had seen that. Would be nice to have him come out of the pen if he is right. I liked him in the pen when he was there before.

Let him run around in circles. Sounds like Drewbie is the one claiming "moral victories" now.

If this guy was truly a Flubs fan he should have known before posting the link that Lackey wasn't making no $500K after signing a new deal.

mate
cards are paying Waino and mike frickin leake like $35 mil over the next few seasons
heyward is playing well below career averages across the board and is only 27. this season will end up being an outlier when it comes to looking at his hitting stats. defense is still superb. just relax k?

Difference is most Cards fan would agree that they may be albatross contracts in which we dont get good value out of.
If Waino doesnt rebound that will be a bad contract. Leake is overpaid right now.

Heyward will never be worth what you are paying him. Even at career averages he is a light hitting corner outfileder with great defense. Thats not a 25m dollar type of player.

Only 4 teams with good records and 5 playoff spots in the nl
After 2006 and 2011 just get there
It's not like the cubs are going to win 120 games. They'll end up around where the cards did last year, and start the playoffs even with everybody else.

Until recently, Wainwright had been pitching well. Still don't make the 2013 World Series without him. I think he is only under contract for 1-2 more years anyway. Leake is so so, but the defense behind both has been terrible all year.
Posted on 8/15/16 at 9:59 pm to CRDNLSCHMCPSN11
Yeah, pitching is the least of our concern going forward, young arms galore. Our offseason needs to be spent on position players and ones that know how to play defense at least half arse decent and some more bullpen arms.
Next year we'll have so many starters competing
Reyes
Martinez
Wacha (?)
Lynn
Leake
Wainwright
Weaver
Garcia (club option)
With Reyes, Martinez, Wacha, and Weaver all being 25 or younger.
