aren't they blocking off huge sections of seats with tarps?
Probably, but they were doing so in the past and weren't selling out.
Cincy is about to be blacked out for the second consecutive week. The Chargers and Raiders have had several blackouts this year.
It's the economy, particularly in a state like California with a high cost of living. You're not going to get the sellouts in LA until after they economy recovers.
As for Jacksonville, the first generation of people who were born and raised in Jacksonville with the Jags as the home team are teenagers right now. Many of their residents are transplants who have brought their allegiances with them. Give the Jags some time there.
Don't move the Vikings, but Wilf and Co. need to build their stadium themselves instead of hitting up public funds.

jacksonville should be the one that moves. there is pretty much zero interest in that team even when they are winning

Sure you will lose some casual fans but IMO 2hrs 10 times a year is not that big of a deal.
2hrs is not that bad if you a die hard fan. I drive 2hrs from SW MO to KC for Chiefs games. Now I'll admit driving 2hrs from SD to LA will be hectic with all the traffic between the two cities.

Everbank field (Jags stadium)67,164- is the number of seats in the stadium with the tarps, which is 20th as far as capacity. Didn't realize Chicago (61,500) had the smallest capacity with Oakland right behind them.

Hell even the casual Charges fan would be able to make the trip a once or twice a yr no problem.
I agree with this, but it is a shot to the pride of people in the city. How would people feel about the Saints playing in BR? Sure, fans could still get to the game, but it wouldn't be "New Orleans'" team anymore.

While the driving times of this are right it totally misses the point. LA is the RIVAL town for San Diego sports' fan. It's like if a Philly team moved to NY or Pittsburgh. Sure it's close but it would your rival city's team. Many Chargers' fan would be for the team to go 0-16 if it were a LA team. Not that this matter in the grand financial scheme but it's sure not that all the current San Diego fans would just keep supporting the LA team.

Even on a Sunday?
Yes. SD to LA can be a major bitch. I'm sure it wouldn't stop some die hard fans, but you see less and less of those that actually go to games because of ticket prices.

this. Jacksonville is not a sports city at all. It's a bunch of transports from military duty or harbor work.(largest US city with importing/exporting.) also Gators trump> jags
