Not a chance in hell, Raiders-Chiefs is one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL and Raiders-Broncos is up there too.

Chargers would be the ones moving to the NFC, which won't happen either.

Well, teams are moving to LA. That is happening. The Raiders have already said they would move to the NFC. So someone is going to be moving in a scenario were both the Chargers and Raiders move to LA.

If the Chargers and Raiders both move to LA, one would go to the NFC. I'm hearing both would be OK with it in order to make the move happen.

Big news for #NFL. #raiders go to NFC RT @Chargers: Statement by Raiders & #Chargers

So you saying "not a chance in hell" tells me you are a little detached from whats going on with this shite.

The Raiders aren't moving to the NFC.

You keep telling yourself that. I have linked two people far more credible than you saying thats well within the realm of possibility.

Im not saying they will or wont but you saying definitively one way or the other shows your ignorance.

Yeah, despite what's being "said", when push comes to shove, it's the Chargers that will be moving.

But one will be moving to the NFC if it's the Raiders and Chargers going to Los Angeles. Anybody arguing that is wasting the energy typing a rebuttal.

100%, in this proposed scenario.

Whether or not this news gets either of the cities to up their game, we'll see. SD should give the Chargers a new nice stadium near Petco. Not familiar with their recent talks, but hard to see SD not eventually getting one in the end. Raiders, who the frick knows.

It would be the Chargers moving to the NFC if this happened. Damn shame though since both have roots in the AFL and big rivalries in the AFC now.

The more I think about it, the more it pisses me off.

NFL: Raiders and Chargers share a stadium now. Let's dump one off in the NFC. Forget all the history they had previously. It's all about that TV $$$ we can get from the LA market.

That is exactly what they would think about it unfortunately.

Re-align the league divisions??
Put Dallas in the NFC east instead of Carolina.

Schedule too hard to make? NY does it fine. Isn't hard to have Manning vs Brady happen every damn year.

Send teams to England every year? No problem. Hell, let's expand and play games in more countries in the near future.

Well, in fairness, its all about pretty terrible stadium situations. Without the stadium problems, neither team would be moving.

What makes people think that LA fans will support a team that starts losing the 3rd time around?
Because lack of fan support was never the reason a team left Los Angeles. The blackout rule is what did it. When you play in a 100,000-seat stadium and sell 70,000 tickets, you're blacked out in the 2nd biggest market. Both former Los Angeles teams were screwed by this.

Harder for Los Angeles to double up, at least the way New York does it. If you notice, the Giants and Jets never play at the same time. When neither team has a prime time game, one of them plays at 1, and the other at 4. Doubt that can happen with two Los Angeles teams, who will inevitably be playing the occasional pair of simultaneous west coast, non-prime time games, neither of which will kick off at 10am PST.

Unless they just don't make this an issue, in which case I see no obstacle.

I hope this doesn't happen. I don't like either team. I'm hoping the Rams come back.

As a Rams fan I'm seriously hoping this doesn't happen. Rams need to get out of St. Louis asap.

Maybe the Raiders but that did not apply to the Rams. Anaheim stadium's max capacity was close to 70K. Their average attendance was never over 60K in any of their last 13 seasons there and even dipped below 50K for a few of them.

Funny you should mention Anaheim Stadium, because the only reason the Rams ever moved there in ~1979 was because they couldn't sell out the Coliseum and avoid the blackouts (so yes, the blackout rule screwed both teams). Being that they were 40 miles south of the center of the TV market at this point, they would still be accessible by millions more presumably interested viewers even if they were blacked out. The fact that the Rams never consistently sold out Anaheim Stadium isn't proof that a team failed in Los Angeles; it's only proof that a team failed in Anaheim.

A modern football stadium with 70K occupied by two NFL teams simply won't fail at this point, especially given the inevitable five-year slump to be had by the most popular professional sports franchise in Los Angeles.

Raiders to NFC West.

Come on man, no way the Raiders ever move to the NFC. Raiders, Chiefs, and Jets pretty much were the AFL. Certainly no way the Raiders/Chiefs rivalry gets split up.

One thing a lot of people around here, mostly Saints fans, overlook (and I was no exception until recently) is that there are a few divisions in the NFL filled with teams who are, at this point, inseparable. AFC East, AFC North, AFC West, NFC East, and NFC North are filled with quadruplets that are all joined at the hip. Out of the other three divisions, SF/SL and NO/ATL are the only seemingly inseparable ones.

What happened to the downtown L.A. proposal? I feel that was the best option...
