Like I said, it's plausible.
This. It takes a special running back to be able to handle that 335 plus carry workload & a head coach who is committed to running the football to make it happen but it's definitely plausible.
Not to mention defenses play more nickel & dime package sets than ever before which makes them more vulnerable against the power run game.

Yes. The name is Guice.

Adrian Peterson hit 2K in 2012. NFL has become a passing league though. You'd basically need about 360-400 carries to make it possible.

Defenses will adjust to the wide open offenses we are seeing now
The hell they will with officiating the way it is.
The NFL has purposely handicapped defenses. Thats far mire responsible for pass happy offenses than anything.

Ever is a really long time.
Who knows where the game goes in 10 years.
Yes someone will run for 2k again.

Saquon is the only person I could see reaching the 2k mark for the time being.
No backup rbs, no passing game, how else are they going to move the ball?

It’ll happen at some point. Some great running back will go to a team in a division that has bad defenses and will get 2K yards. Won’t be common, but will probably happen.

There were over 15 RB’s in 2003 with over 300 carries. I think last year there was maybe 2.
