Winning out, including the conference tourney(At the Tigue) is quite possible. Hosting however is a LONG shot.

If its quite possible then hosting isn't a long shot.....your RPI would be top 16 and you'd have an automatic bid.

Plus I don't think the NCAA would put 2 teams hosting a regional within an hour of each other unless we were one of the top teams in the country.

Somebody in the Sunbelt is gonna host IMO.

If tulane beats you at home this year, you should not host a regoonal - IMHO FWIW

Tell that to the 2009 national champion lsu team who lost a midweek game at home to nicholls that same year.

I just wish our pitching was up to the level it normally is. This is the best hitting team we have ever had. Nations Leader in Homeruns.

Doubtful. Need top 16 RPI almost and sweeping ULM may hurt your RPI at this point.

They do it a lot...if Rice or USA hosts, you're SOL, though. Don't see them having 3 host sites between Houston and Mobile.

I know LSU will be a #2 or 3 national seed but I love it when we have a chance for two teams in Omaha.....if they don't host they are likely coming to the box and their season will end mighty quickly.

In '09, wasn't Southern in the BR regional, and ULL was in Dallas or Houston?

If I recall correctly, they had ULLL on the bubble of hosting teams. But then when they ran through the rest of the nation, it becomes obvious that hosting is not really realistic. With the 2 Oregon schools ranked so high, the 3-4 teams from the ACC,4-5 from the SEC, throw in a few teams from the BIG & Arizona country, and all of a sudden those hosts sites are filled up.

LSU fans can only pray that UL(L) gets to host.
