I understand the difference in the 2 fights. To me Hall just choked on the big stage.

But I wouldn't call that "bullshitting" in the ring. So he trained and worked his arse off to make the finals and then what? Decided frick it, I've made it?

I think he choked and he didn't think Kevin Gastelum could beat him. Just like all the other fighters that Gastelum fought on his way to the finals. He underestimated him

While I agree with most of what you are saying, I think he fought the way he did against Kevin is because he did not underestimate him, and knew Kevin could beat him. When you train with someone every day for weeks, you have a good idea of what they are capable of doing to you.

That's probably a better assessment than mine admittedly. I forgot they were on the same team

You guys make some great points. I still fully believe that Urijah thought he could coast there. I think all the training together gave him what he thought was a better advantage than most have. Couple that with the extreme amount of hype that Dana himself attached to the guy, I am in the camp that believes he got in his own head.

I don't believe that he was just worried about fighting his buddy.

I don't get the hype for this card. Is it because it's free?

There aren't too many fights with title implications, but its like they took the top of the B tier and put them ALL on the same card.

It's a bunch of good to great fighters in good matchups against each other. And all on the same card.

You must not follow the sport closely and/or don't recognize any big names

Chuck Liddell, Brock Lesnar and Kimbo Slice weren't available. Sorry.

Good shite, wonder how much less Fox got than what they were asking for. Wonder how many of those 85,000,000 viewers are even aware?? 85,000 maybe....

Not sure. I know FS1 and the UFC have to be extremely happy that the possible viewership doubled. I am glad for all of the MMA fans who will now be able to see this stacked card. I have Cox cable so it did not effect me.

Awesome!!!! Glad this deal was made because FS1 has some great programming lined up. There will be a Golden Boy Promotions fight card on Monday nights as well. Those cards will air every other Monday

Aren't the prelims and main car airing in one block on FS1?

If so, I wonder if they'll keep that up.

Yes, and I think they plan to use FS1 as the primary vehicle for UFC content. I know a lot of the shows on Fuel are moving over to FS1. I would imagine fuel will still have some UFC content.

Yeah, if Carlos Condit's style frustrated Nick, Lyoto's will drive him crazy.
