I hate the way it’s set up I think it should be by the bylaws but it isn’t and there’s no criteria set up
But being a top 2 seed not traveling too far and knowing you’re playing in footprint isn’t a bad thing.
Another thing I’d like to see is using true regions where top 4 seeds get to play in their region
Example if your top 4 seeds were
Alabama
Clemson
Notre Dame
OU
Bama play in Atlanta
Clemson plays in Charlotte or Miami
Notre Dame plays in Indy or Minneapolis
OU in Dallas or Glendale
Set it up as neutral quarters
The semis be in whatever NY6 rotation you want
Final as is
This way every region has a playoff game every conference is represented somehow and it more a true championship

I’m rooting for UGA. Because if Bama loses, and they get in over both OU and Ohio State as 1 loss conf champs, the playoffs as we know it will be done. Which is what I am hoping for

You do know if OU is 4 and Bama is 1 you are going to Miami right?
They won’t put Bama at a location disadvantage I don’t think
I think Bama OU in cotton and ND Clemson in sugar feel more natural and that will overcome the advantage angle, considering a Tuscaloosa is actually 3 hrs closer to Jerry world and Bama fans travel well anyway.
